Wait, when has Canadian News Media outside of public broadcasting not been corpwned?

Yeah "corporate owned" is intentionally vague and just stirs up confusion IMO.

Canadian media and the general public need to start calling a spade a spade and use words like "monopoly" and "oligopoly" instead.

Toronto Star is a "corporation" that is being bought by PostMedia (another "corporation"), centralizing more of our media landscape and bringing us closer to a "monopoly".

Par for the course in Canada unfortunately.

Much like all forms of media… ugh big eat the small eat the independent… twist the arm of the remaining and then turn around and bite that hand that feeds.

We have the internet in it’s broken state and could probably collaborate at a better and faster rate then most media houses.

I’d throw my hat in to start something. Put morals and common sense back into the social construct.
