Title says it all, i've seen some posts about how and why people host their own servers for pirated music (doesnt make sense to me), pirated shows/movies (kind of makes sense to me), etc.

i dont pirate anything myself as i have spotify (non premium but you can get it ad free) and apple music.

just curious :)

EDIT: people seem to think im critizing pirating music, but im simply curious about it. sorry about my wording of my question(s).

anyway, heres another question: when did you start your music/video collection? how big is it now?
