I played Doom II against Romero once in a bookstore back in the 90s. Nice guy, maybe the ultimate trash talker.

He comes across as such a quiet, humble guy now and then I think back to all the edgy "YOU'RE ABOUT TO BE JOHN ROMERO'S BITCH" nonsense surrounding Daikatana hahaha
