I like how long the battery lasts on the k400, the range, and it's such a nice accessory for when I'm on the couch and navigating my PC from the television. Having trackpad right there is great too.

But, the typing experience is really lacking. Has there been any quality options to this?

If only the Shinobi and Shura were bluetooth.... They aren't QMK or hotswap though...

I currently use one of these (not mechanical) for my couch needs but would love to see a more open mechanical version. I have a tex yoda II that I use at my desk.

Anyway I realize none of these things are even close to what you want... sorry I don't have any better suggestions.

Yeah, there's been so many interesting keyboards made of various sizes, ergo keyboards, and numpads. But, the wireless mechanical keyboard with a trackpad continues to be the elusive white whale.
