Anytime when you're going to share a reddit link with someone, find a lemmy link with the same content instead.

If there is no post on lemmy with that content, then repost it on lemmy. Unless its something that doesn't make sense to repost, such as an AMA.

Same thing with twitter and mastadon.

You can look for lemmy communities where the content you want to post fits by using lemmyverse.net/communities

Contribute to as many subcommunities as you can. A larger number of active threads provides more avenues for engagement for a new user.
