Federation issues (midwest.social)

Following this comment: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/4039#issuecomment-1773482259 I updated the timestamps in the instance table of midwest.social's database. We'll see if that fixes anything. Fingers crossed. For example, the updated timestamp column for lemmy.world was sometime on 10-30-23.

one comment of mine on a lemmy.world post has federated over there (https://midwest.social/comment/4419626).

a few others have not. (https://midwest.social/comment/4311755 and https://lemmy.world/comment/5044175 should be the same, my comment doesn't show there)

If the comment was made before I did the fix then it's not likely to federate.

Ah OK, makes sense!

@seahorse@midwest.social I think this is happening again? I made a few comments on a thread at !europe@feddit.de and they did not propagate.

Specifically here:

Odd. I just checked the timestamp of feddit.de for when it was last considered "alive" and it says it updated at 1:02 AM Frankfurt time. Let me try a few tests.
