@synacksyn you can directly upload images lol. and I think if you embed them in text they have expandable option? Test image... your previous posts that I saw just posted a "link" rather than doing a text article with image embed, or direct image upload. which is probably why it wasn't expanding?
Actually it seems the links to imgur are expandable even for threads?
You can enable inline images with the "Auto media preview:" under the cog menu. Be aware you may see NSFW images, because those tags do not properly federate from lemmy instances.
