Are there plans to switch to lemmy 0.19? we are still on 0.18.4, and the new version seems to have alot of useful features. Are there any problems stopping us from updating?

The 0.19.0 release is officially out, and does bring a host of features that fixes federation and reduces server stress, among much more. I just updated our instances (prev. running 0.18.5) and they went off without a hitch. CPU & disk use are down and the UI is buttery-smooth.

I'd recommend it at some point after you've done your research. Dessalines and nutmoic really did an awesome job on this one.

Careful. Summoning demons without a circle can be dangerous!

Ok, I've run a DB backup, updated docker-compose and pulled new images. I'll do a restart some time today.. and hope for the best.

HMU if you run into anything odd. I've seen just about everything with docker and Lemmy. Honestly though this went smoother than any other update I can remember.

I'll take a look at it. Short version... last time I checked it was still an RC, which I didn't want to play with.

Just got released as 0.19.0. The Change Log has the details you might find interesting.
