Same here. It's hard or impossible to combine with doing anything in real life.

I guess the idea of paying real money for isk is the solution in a way, but if I'm not grinding eve for isk, there isn't much else to do. Why even do missions or go to null sec if I don't need isk?

It used to be a classic phrase in the eve forums when I was playing long ago.

If I was unemployed and didn't have anything to do in real life, I would play eve. It's a great game for people who wants to become more and more powerful in a virtual galaxy at the expense of it consuming all your life.

Your question failed.

As soon as this thing can be installed on arch, I'm doing it :)

This sounds like a chat gpt answer.

Eve is a Screensaver where you spin your ship.

Horrible and should be illegal.

Someone actually did phrase the term "anti-social media" for stuff like Lemmy. I like the term a lot but it actually is a better fit for describing all forms of social media where people are instantly judging and fighting eachother, because that's not what we do in real life.

Someone says something we don't agree with in real life, and we just move on. It's their opinion and we don't have to fight it. We can express what we think and that's it. But on these platforms, some people are instantly going to war over it. They block people, they block entire instances, and they think they are fighting some kind of battle, such as fighting against nazism appearently.

It's just silly.

If I don't like gay people, as an example, then I'm appearently part of the third reich and want to send them all to gas chambers. Yeah sure, not an overreaction at all is it? :)

I wish people would calm down and breathe.

And since people are scared to death of being shown old people, we only get a picture of her in her 40s. :)

That's a good point. Thanks.

I can see the beginning of something truly great in this editor. It's going to become better than VS code in a year.

It's already great for some languages like Go and Rust.

The floating window stacks looks nice, and also the OSD's. :)

I know this probably won't feel like a compete desktop environment when it comes out, but it's looking promising. I think it will feel faster and smoother then Gnome and Plasma, but that's just a guess.

This is the first thing I actually believe has a chance to hurt Google. Chat Gpt really succeeded, and it's Microsofts billions behind it. All at the same time as Google has lost its culture of innovation and has become a creepy sleezy company.

This is the real reason for companies wanting people back to the office.

All this talk about collaboration and team spirit is just the publicly given reason for wanting people back to the office.

The real reason is that now the owners of the buildings are losing money.

Cry me a river.

I noticed there isnt really a car community on Lemmy, but some of you guys must be driving cars....!

Im only asking because I just leased a new Volvo XC-40 and its amazing to drive. Really, really happy every time i get into it. Also because the music system is pretty damn good and I can play deezer songs and also music from usb stick. :)

I'm enjoying this. Also Musk went out and said that he wants barriers on trade or else the Chinese companies will dominate the market.

I thought Musk would be happy, because he truly wants to save the planet doesn't he? It shouldn't matter if he or someone else makes the best electric cars then?

This is so strange to me. I guess people enjoy being ripped off and getting less and less value for their money.

Quite a controversial decision.... I love Kagi though, but I don't understand why they would want to drag Brave into this.
