I want to say I don't think worrying about faking is something anyone really needs to worry about. The only people I've heard tell people they were faking is truscums (they've told me that for being NonBinary). IMO identification is valid, if you identify as trans it's enough, if you don't that's also valid, there's no minimum criteria you need to meet to be valid in your identity.

I can tell that they look different in the image, but only barely. I'm not even sure how much it is because of difference in the color or the lighting, it almost looks like a lighting difference to me.

Personally I prefer tank-tops, I won't wear something warm unless it's actually bellow 0 (celsius), then I'll suck it up and wear long sleeves. I don't really like hoodies very much, well actually it's more that I don't like long sleeves at all, I despise them actually. I like having my arms free and long sleeves feel extremely uncomfortable to me, also I almost never feel cold at all.
