Because it's a fairly conservative instance, which is okay with poking fun at gays and trannies. I know don't if you've been on Reddit or Twitter, but that shit doesn't fly, and most lemmy instances are going to be just as or more liberal.
Also worshipping Trump or the chunky Italian is a direct contradiction to most of their political beliefs.
If you need to think about it more than that, then thinking clearly isn't your strong suit.
