When I was about 10 I realized that people of other religions probably felt just as strongly that their religion is “true” as I felt about mine and that I had no grounds to look down on them.

Fast forward 10 years and I became an atheist.

Got an unpopular girlfriend you loved? Hated Eddie? Thought the show should've been set in another city? What's your hot take, Frasier lovers?

I’m reading “Everyone In My Family Has Killed Someone”, a delightfully smart and funny locked room mystery

I'm wondering in what context Roz will appear. Why is she in Boston?

[-] Bryony87@lemmy.world 4 points 8 months ago

I've enjoyed it. It's certainly not the original but Kelcey Grammer is still wonderful in his character and the writers have started to explore the relationship between him and Freddy's character more.

Okay friends, any predictions for how the season finale will conclude? Since we haven't seen Peri Gilpin yet, I assume our beloved Roz will make her appearance. I'm also curious whether more romance will bloom between Freddy and Eve.

I'm in the Don't Know camp. What's the deal with the commercial?

[-] Bryony87@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago

I'm with you about David. I don't love him either. It's like he's trying to be Niles but can't pull it off. And I can't figure out his purpose in the show.

I’m really enjoying Working Out Out with Mike Birbiglia and WTF with Marc Maron

[-] Bryony87@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago

Agreed on the bliss of the first episode being the heart to heart between Frasier and Freddy. I hope the writers give us more of those emotional moments. I’m also with you on feeling the loss of David Hyde Pierce keenly. He added so much to the original series with his physical comedy. We really don’t get that from the new David character.

[SPOILERS] Okay so what do we think of the first two episodes so far? How do you feel about how the last 20 years of Frasier‘s life was explained? Do you feel like the Freddy/Frasier dynamic is reminiscent of Frasier/Martin? Any predictions for how the storyline is going to progress?

WTF with Marc Maron is a comedy podcast of interviews with comedians, actors, writers, and musicians. They’ve hosted some great guests such as Cillian Murphy of Oppenheimer.

Stuff You Should Know. Also a comedy podcast that is essentially a literature review on a plethora of topics covering everything from whether Mallory summited Everest to how HIV works.

Diane brought Frasier to Cheers. Lilith is the mother of his child and trigger to move back to Seattle. Hester led him down the path to choosing psychiatry as a profession. Which woman would you say had the biggest impact on our beloved radio star?

RIP John Mahoney (amp.theguardian.com)

Obviously an older article but with the Frasier reboot coming ever closer I'm waxing nostalgic about John Mahoney. Did you know he had a native English accent with he worked hard to shift to American Mid-Atlantic after moving to the US?
