do plugins that run on wine count?
that's just extra friction, with UIs you can explore and figure out at a glance roughly what a button will do
ive only upgraded from my 2014 shit phone in 2021, and i plan to do the same with this one for as long as i can
technically that is only true if the malware in question does something in the kernel or relies on an unimplemented wine api call, since a lot of malware is an infostealer or ransomware, its quite likely that it'll work just fine under wine

i happen to still mostly use windows media player on windows 10 LTSC, in my opinion it looks better and runs much better than whatever regular windows has nowadays
of course VLC exists too and is mostly superior, but it doesnt have the cool visualisations for music :(

i'd give it one or two years before discord undergoes some serious enshittification, with the way most other social media websites have gone down, presumably due to them not being really profitable anymore, im sure discord will start pushing people into nitro more and more as time goes on, i mean as most other platforms discord is already taking advantage of our data, but so did twitter and look where twitter is going now lol

what we really need on phones and by extension arm devices is a unified bootloader, something akin to a bios or uefi (which btw already exists on arm but manufacturers are choosing to not go with it for some reason)
