Just saw this comment. Yep , you lose space with counter depth and there are even shallower ones that are super small. Most fully blended ones are a mix of counter depth fridge/ normal cabinets and regular fridge/ deep cabinets. I need all the fridge space and the walking space so the fridge poking out is what i get.

We took a long time to decide on colors, comparing swatches and planning it, but it worked out and we love it. I'm glad you like it too!

If you are implying that my cabinets/ doors look like ikea im flattered. Some of the base and upper cabinets are salvaged from an old apartment complex and i rebuilt them and all of the rest including the cabinet doors and entertainment center i built from scratch.

I was able to get it pretty flat, but its far from perfect. I custom built the upper extensions and cabinet doors to work with the shape and hide the unflatness as much as possible.

Yeah, its pushed all the way in. They make shallower fridges, but you lose alot of space internally. When i was planning out the kitchen, it was clear that the fridge would stick out from the cabinets but we live that fridge. I could have made the cabinets deeper to cover more but i wanted to keep as much space for movement around the island as i could so i stuck with standard depth cabinets and a protruding fridge

Thanks! And good luck with your kitchen!

Thanks! I ran the vent straight up and through the roof. I didnt want to put cabinets up there with the 6 inch pipe going through them and i like the look of dedicated vent space above the range.

Thanks! The counters are one of my favorite parts. Yeah, its a samsung range. We've only been using it for a week but it's pretty nice. Being able to air fry without the countertop device is great!

  • thank you for all the votes and comments! -

A followup to my "kitchen completed" post a while back. After 6 years of completely rebuilding this place by myself, we finally moved in. Im very happy.

More pics here.

A few years ago i bought a very run down mobile home and i started rebuilding it from the steel/iron frame up. Ill include a few pics of the in between in the comments, but this is my kitchen finally completed. I rehabbed some used cabinets and built a good bit of them from scratch as well as the cabinet doors. This is my first time building anything at this level. Many mistakes were made, but i learned alot.

Hes still the cutest and sweetest boy.

They arent gonna win any beauty awards, but they are handy. My german shepherd's huge crate takes up too much space, so i built one that can shrink down to half the size. I designed the whole entertainment center around it and one for my other pup. She historically hated any kind of cage, but loves his, so i couldnt leave her out.

Still not done, but with paint.

Not sure how to link or crosspost yet, im a Rexxitor, but I built this from scratch, including the the wall framing, drywall, cusom mortar shower pan, and the hardwood floor insert. It was 98% complete here.
