Is it just me or has self immolation gotten very frequent in the US? There was that scientist in D.C. protesting climate change, then another person in Atlanta protesting Israel.

I read something along the lines of "the civilian casualties of the Battle of Stalingrad is partially an example of the faults of Soviet centralized planning, as the state was not able to provide food, transport, housing, etc. in the time and numbers required." I am wondering what the response to this claim would be?

It's crazy how the initial meaning of the photo has been so mutilated up to now. To my knowledge the entire point of the photo was to show the compassion for life felt by two people on opposite sides of a gun. The tank's refusal to kill the man representative of a positive aspect of humanity during conflict.
