Hey I feel that but without being gay... How does that work?

I just use ublock with Firefox, I'm fine with the baked in ads on Firefox I don't mind supporting them. Considering what the other option is, I want to support them.

I know I'm not the fucking arbiter of news my dude I literally said IMO.

IMO = in my opinion

There you go, you learned something new. I'm not a mod I'm not calling for this post to be removed I'm just saying in MY OPINION it's not global news.

Edit: to add onto this point I appreciate that you think it might change some people's opinions on this anti vaxx stuff but after dealing with my mom's anti vaxx bullshit I really think anyone who's dumb enough to believe in this shit won't be swayed by someone losing their medical license they will just point to it and be like "SEE THE GOVERNMENTS ARE TRYING TO SUPPRESS US! ITS A CONSPIRACY!!"

Every time something like this is in the news my mum just believes her crazy shit even more. It gives credibility that the news and government are colluding somehow.

Yup, but don't worry guys, corruption isn't something you need to worry about, the police are on the case!

Basically that weak contact before the device finishes being screwed in would cause a lot of arcing which would definitely cause a short circuit and would definitely trip your breaker almost constantly. The reason lightbulbs can be screwed in is not so much that it's a convenient way to design an installable electronic but more that lightbulb companies wanted to create a design that would be so easy to replace any person could do it without any training.

So Edison hired a team of engineers to design an easy and safe application and they made the screw in application such that the contact would only get close enough at the very end of screwing and so that none of the metal would be able to contact human skin, avoiding electrocution and minimizing arcing.

For literally any higher draw application this would cause arcing so intense it would flip a breaker or possibly destroy the device and cause a fire. If you want a real life example just take a portable heater, set it to on and plug it into the wall but make that plugging motion last 3-5 seconds. WARNING you will at the very least flip a breaker and at the worst cause a fire and destroy your wall outlet, so don't actually try this at home lmao

I bought the pre release, got bored so quickly and never logged more than 2 hours for many many years. I thought they wouldn't actually keep updating it but they did which is very cool.

Now whenever I open the game to give it a try they force me to get all of this shit I don't want like a freight thing and I need to build a base and it's like dude I thought the whole idea was that you could do whatever you want, and then you force me to do all this tutorial shit that I don't care about? I can't get into it.

The tutorials should be optional, I wanna explore the universe with just my ship and be a drifter for a while before I find a home planet I like to make my base, I wanna worry about freighters once I've experienced the rest of the game not right away. I want to learn the updates at my own pace but it won't let me so I gave up on it.
