I thought they made a big point about not monetizing the video during the video. With the whole "and now our sponsor..", "Just kidding" stuff. Was it actually set for YouTube monetization?
If anything my char feels more powerful now. I have a much easier time blowing through side dungeons and such.
The web is federated in theory but that does not stop the larger companies from monopolizing the traffic. Think of Reddit, Google, etc. as a federated instance of the WWW.
It really comes down to the degree. Someone could spend significantly less to get an IT related degree and start out making more than what your wife currently makes with, probably, a much better work life balance. That person could easily double that in a few years.
Honestly, we simply do not value health care and teachers as much as we should.
There was a period where you could not find the 3000 series NVidia cards unless you went prebuilt. Other than that, I agree, always built all my machines after my first 286.
Odd that they mention the Switch release before PC though where it is still in alpha.
Glad to see this is finally coming out soon. Palia has been on my radar now for a year or so.
I think this is where I lucked out when I had so many issues creating an account on lemmy.world. I ended up making an account at thelemmy.club instead and it seems I can see and respond to all content from here so far.
I have not seen the need to manage multiple accounts so far. I am logged into thelemmy.club but am subscribed to lemmy.world which works fine since it is federated. I am able to reply to you from thelemmy.club. Most of the content I follow is from other (non club) servers and have not had any issues interacting with people.
I just tried again and still cannot get past the Sign Up screen. Odd.
I would like to know how they managed to register. I tried since Monday, kept getting the spinning circle on the Submit button, and finally created an account on another server.
I think the biggest criticism is the pricing, not the existence of the cash shop. It is using the Apple model versus the Walmart model of pricing targeting the whales which is probably more profitable. Like you said, it does not impede gameplay at all though it is always somewhat concerning to see such an emphasis on a cash shop for a product that is still in beta. I will continue to play and see how it goes.
