Yeah, like the other person said this is normal for the borderlands games.

I agree with you, I don't like it either though.

It shouldn't but people (especially in the context of something "not important" like gaming) as a mass do not operate on logic.

So I guess I agree; but, you're probably wasting your breath "yelling into the wind."

I guess, put another way, I've done it many times/used to think more this way and I think I might have appreciated more nudges that "... yeah you're right but people are going to people regardless of what makes sense."

It kind of does, early reviews and sentiment can have a big impact on how well the game does long term.

Honestly, every thing they're clawing back to the president is just something that a Democrat can use to fix things. The next Democrat that's president will probably be one that acknowledges things have not been operating as normal and there will be a lot of people that need to be replaced.

It is not; it's a distinctly British-influenced if not outright British term.

So that's why Oscar is always hiding in the trash can grumbling!

I think there is a certain amount of social media that is itself the problem.

Like, trolls and rage baiters are a menace; not to mention social media is often an assault on nuance.

Memes are still really popular but they undercut serious discussion ... and often just make noise about depressing shit without even the inkling of answers to the problems they comment on.

I use containers for work stuff so I don't have to deal with edge cases of mixing accounts.

I also put Proton in a container to hopefully reduce the odds of any kind of cross site scripting exploits from succeeding... But that base should already be well covered by proton servers and the normal protection mechanisms.

Interesting, though I'm not sure that it would really be lemmy at that point, no?

ActivityPub in a certain sense is not Plebbit ... and I'm not sure how compatible these ideas really are.

Was there something special about it?

Why was my post "Plans 50% For a Limited Time" post (https://lemmy.world/post/7756292) down voted so heavily without comment? It was an official news announcement on (a pretty good deal) from Standard Notes themselves.

I've never seen a reaction like this from any other lemmy community.
