How many good shows are no longer available, or required a more expensive package to keep? If that hasn't happened yet, it will soon.

My mom constantly complained about her favorite shows disappearing, so I bought her a ROKU and plugged it into her TV. She canceled her cable two months later.

I was attending University in the mid 90s, where I had an account on the University mainframe, and access to a service called Gopher. Al Gore and his "Information Superhighway" showed up a couple of years later.

Is anyone else having trouble giving up Reddit due to content? in c/asklemmy@lemmy.ml

You can use "-reddit" at the end of your search string to filter out reddit results. And "-youtube" if you don't want to watch a 20 minute video about how to find the thing in the video game.
