Shit, I'm sorry about that. I understand that not everyone's situation is the same. Sorry if my comment came off as offensive - I really wasn't trying to be.

My dad did this stuff too. My mom was going through chemo and he refused to take the smallest precautions like just wearing a mask. I don't think I'd ever been angrier in my life. I'm appalled by this kind of behavior, but maybe try to talk to him. You or your siblings (if you have any) are probably the only people who can talk him down. Also, life is short and anything can happen. Losing your father on your current terms would suck.

Edit: actually though, I wouldn't mind being seated in something like a "family" section. It really is hard to keep babies and toddlers still and quiet on a plane (or anywhere), and I always feel bad for the people sitting next to us.

I lived a really sedentary lifestyle for about 10 years and everything started hurting. The good news for people in their 30s is that it's probably not too late to turn it around. It's crazy what a little exercise can do

I just walked around my house touching all my mirrors and they all do this. Hope they're not on to me now... Think I'll wait for night and try to make a break for it.
