Took me a minute as I thought they were going for a neutral/neuter joke. The dog thinks Park will take them to the park

Yeah, Nolan decided dialouge is important enough to include but not important enough to be able to hear. Pick a damn lane. Either let me hear it or don’t include it

Or how about investing in and restoring 'third places' like community centres where they can socialise without having to spend money?

Cola braised tofu (lemmy.world)
submitted 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago) by Doublepluskirk@lemmy.world to c/homecooks@vegantheoryclub.org

Tofu shallow fried with garlic, ginger, spring (green) onion, and chili. Then braised in cola and reduced to a sticky sauce.

Edit:bloody hell. I didn't realise everyone felt so passionately about cola 😆

As soon as the term 'effective altruism' is rolled out, I know exactly what kinda cunt the person is

With the cheapest of supermarket garlic breads (as oil is cheaper than butter, it's vegan). Doesn't look like much, but very tasty

And now we've got Ghost. It's all cycles, man

A rich tvp filling with garlic mash, and i made a mushroom gravy to go with it. There's about a block and a half of vegan butter across the filling, mash, and gravy, so definitely not the healthiest of recipes. Delicious though.

Thanks! I'm happy to say it was. I do like ramen during the week. It's quick and doesn't make a load of washing up

This is probably my favourite ramen dish. It's so rich and unctuous. I need to make more smokey chilli oil as I'm out and it's not quite the same with chilli crisp

I added spinach and peas. With store bought breads, because I'm rubbish at bread.

Sounds pretty similar to the start of Wall-E

It's a bit clumsy but yeah. It's far better than the repeated use of 'slams' or 'blasts'.

I like the Enterprise uniform. It does exactly what's it's meant to do. It's incredibly evocative of the 'new frontier' vibe of modern day astronaut ware and really plays in to Enterprises whole 'submarine in space' aesthetic. I totally understand why it's not as liked, as it's maybe too close to modern for some, but as Enterprise is that bridge between now and then, it works for me.

I was just thinking that this person needs a bit of marmite in their life

[-] Doublepluskirk@lemmy.world 17 points 8 months ago

Jackfruit. For a while it was the 'go to' vegan option for places to offer; jackfruit smothered in awfully sweet BBQ sauce. The texture is softer than anything it's trying to mimic, It's messy, and flavourless.

One of my favourite names for anything is these being called 'desire lines'. It's so whimsical.
