From the article:

A WIRED investigation shows Kofsky is also the person posting as PsychoticMammal. The account has posted personal details that precisely match Kofsky’s résumé, and has linked to a little-followed Instagram account dedicated to photos of Kofsky wearing preppy outfits. A review of publicly available material from data breaches provided by Constella Intelligence shows that Kofsky’s personal email address was used to set up a “PsychoMammal” account on a photography site. Furthermore, the PsychoticMammal name was used on Poshmark by a user whose avatar is a photo of Kofsky. It was also used on Tumblr by someone who linked to—and claimed as his own—a Blogspot maintained by a user named Aaron Kofsky, who posted personal details that match details of Kofsky’s biography.

Apparently, this guy left a huge trail... Edit: plus data breaches...

Racist people have been repeating this story long before trump ever took office. My father, decades ago, was always telling me this is why the family dogs would dissapear. Apparently, once a year, some gang (of non haitians) would come to our rural area, and steal the neighborhood pets.

Of course, our dogs would get hit by cars or shot, but it would happen to coincide with less barking of neighboring dogs (nah, it wasnt cause our wandering dog wasnt bothering them anymore /s) or another neighbor complaining their dog was missing, too.

I always thought it was the most ridiculous thing I ever heard, much less how the logistics worked out, but the story has been around for a very long time, even if some of the details have changed. These jerks have just co-opted another racist troupe to try to pander to their base.

Somehow, came upon Trumps speech from the RNC last night. Started reading random parts outloud. Ended up convinced all the Democrats have to do is run ads with all the incoherent crap he says.

And there is the real reason they made it OK to make homelessness illegal.

After they realized deporting illegal immigrants left fields to rot (see Florida, Georgia, and Alabama) they had to come up with a plan to make up the loss of labor, somehow.

I'm sure they figure 2 birds, 1 stone. Clean up the streets and make sure they have enough slaves to tend the fields. If you can't pull yourself up by your bootstraps, we'll tie those straps to your feet and drag you with em.

In my doomer brain...

It's just a preview of what's to come if the far right takes over, for every woman that is unfortunate to come across a man that is all in.

They'll reverse no fault marriage, and then when you marry the guy (either because the guy pulls a bait and switch, or you don't really understand what your agreeing too until after the fact) you either comply or get beat into submission, with no way out, while you pop out babies

This is a handbook, not a fad.

I'm sure I'm wrong and it's a bunch of women that don't want to work...but if it's not, it could turn into some scary shit.

“If I don’t do everything right, then my kid will end up living on my couch forever or be a serial killer. … I don’t know if or when I’ll have what it takes to be a ‘good’ parent."

These are pretty much the words I've heard spoken. Especially when there's a lack of a support system / a support system you trust to help raise the kid right. The fear of permanently screwing up some poor soul is real.

I think stability is a pretty big factor too. It's not just owning a house and having a job that pays the bills. It's about being in a place where you feel able to really give the kid everything they will need, emotionally and monetarily, in the long term. If one can't count on a job to see the humanity in people, or even pay a living wage, how can they trust that their employer won't let them go if their "metrics" go to crap, or that they wont just drive them insane. It's nice to think you can leave the baggage at the door, but I've definitely been employed at places that have permanently changed me as a person, and not for the better.

Obviously, everyone has their own reasons for not wanting a child, but, at its core, it's our screwed up society and what it demands from us, with so little of a return.

There are already some southern states that will test and prosecute for miscarriages, especially if they suspect drug use is involved.

Brittney Poolaw in Oklahoma was the most recent publicized case of this, but at least 1200 cases have been recorded in the past 20 years or so.

But, now that so many states are banning abortions, and by way of that abortion drugs, we'll absolutely see a huge uptick soon enough.

This. No one realizes that your probably not gonna make it to 100 in perfect health. If your body doesn't go, it will be your mind. Either way, it does not sound appealing.

If nothing else, the arthritis has gotten so bad, you wanna off yourself anyways.

Hard pass.

Probably a whoosh, but I find this meme funny because about a month before the reddit protest, the was a pokemon go protest.

Niantic pretty much ignored public outcry much like reddit. They demolished remote raiding, which became popular during covid. This forced people, including those with disabilities, to pretty much obtain legendary pokemon in person.

This can be a huge task for those in rural areas and of course the disabled. Many rural areas just do not have enough of a community, or gyms, to meaningfully upgrade said legendary pokemon. Instead, Niantic gave preference to ~~(the $$$)~~ people it could glean location data from, typically those in a city.

Many people, we're very disappointed and left pokemon go as a result.

I wonder if the two companies worship the same evil deity or something, jeeze...
