The Last of Us is fine for about one playthrough. When I played through I was sad the story was ending but I was kind of glad I didn't have to keep playing. I feel like it stayed just long enough where it didn't wear out it's welcome. Haven't gotten around to the 2nd yet so I have no opinion there.

God of War I've enjoyed in limited doses but I'm with you. I've bought a handful of installments for it and I don't think I got much further than a few hours on any of them. I know it's dumb I keep buying them but for whatever reason they always seem to have a great sale going on everytime I think about giving it another shot. The thing is I've enjoyed other hack and slash games and I enjoy Greek mythology but for whatever reason the gameplay in this series has never clicked with me

Yeah that's what I read thanks for expounding, it's definitely not good as somebody who also uses stackoverflow pretty commonly

Yeah they definitely need to do something to make that federation a bit more pleasant haha

All there was to really do after you beat the game was to do the limited time raids, breeding if you want to max stats (which if you aren't doing competitive is not really worth the effort), or play competitive. And none of those actually took place in the open world they built. Felt like a bit of a waste

Is there any way to subscribe to content creators on tilvids from my lemmy instance? Just out of curiosity

I need to start going back to the theaters more. The ones near me had awesome leather seats. I could hang out there all day and watch movies if it wasn't for the costs and need for natural light haha

#1 was my first, #5 and #6 were my 2nd and 3rd. I wish they'd port 4 swords to the switch and give it online co-op, I'd love to play through it with other people

I'd also say this for Hearts of Iron 4. The vanilla game has gotten increasing amounts of flavor over the years, but the kaiserreich, road to 56, etc total conversion mods added a lot more replayability to the game

Go to the communities page on here and it will bring up a list of communities. Select the 'all' tab and it will bring up all the communities hosted on here and on other instances that are linked with beehaw. So you may see a 'Technology' community and a 'Technology@lemmy.ml' community. The first one is the technology community hosted here on beehaw, and the second one is the technology community hosted on lemmy.ml.

Now beehaw users can't make instances (as decided by the beehaw admins), but there are instances you can create your own communities. So you will definitely run across some more niche ones from those external instances in that communities page that you can access and subscribe/post to

Around then I feel is when spam bots on the site started to become really rampant too. I could be mistaken though

This is a cop out answer. I tried Jerboa but wasn't a big fan. That may change in the future. But I feel currently the best way to experience Lemmy on your phone is to do the following:

  1. Install the firefox app from the app store
  2. Go to your Lemmy instance on firefox
  3. press the 3 dots (where you can view bookmarks, history, etc) and click on "Add to Home screen"

When you click on the Lemmy icon that's added to your home screen on your phone, it will open up the Lemmy web app (seperate from the firefox browser). It works super nice on mobile from my experience so far, and has a sleek design.
