They just made Space Marine 2. Great campaign and the most immersive Warhammer 40k game yet imo. As far as the look and feel of the world they really didn't miss once. 40k is an old IP with A LOT of details and to just consistently nail those details is really a Herculean feat.
The gameplay loop isn't exactly my cup of tea but it isn't bad.
I don't know who else I would pick to do this project tbh.

In the cities you can walk to places or take much more limited public transportation.
Every one outside of the city has a car though. Drive through banks, fast food, pharmacies, and even liquor stores are a real thing.
My commute to work is ~40 minute drive and some of that is at 129 kph.
I rarely walk anywhere for anything besides pleasure. There is a restaurant within ~10 minutes walk but most roads don't even have sidewalks here and people don't always pay attention while driving

There really is no justification for it. It's part of the American healthcare experience. It makes them money to have no downtime between patients. It costs them nothing to make you wait. They book patient appointments with this philosophy in mind and it's incredibly disrespectful.
