To be fair, I did have a watch that automatically synced itself to the us naval observatories atomic clocks over the air.

Which I think its important to point out isn't an endorsement. It means that we in the west should be doing everything we can to enforce our saftey standards on products sold in our countries, and if that isn't possible then we should be bringing the manufacturing back onshore.

Agreed. It's not that I belive that the copyright holder shouldn't have some time period that they get all rights to an ip. It's that the current standard of lifetime plus 70 years is batshit fucking crazy.

I tend to support 20 years or less. Long enough to turn a good profit, short enough that someone who grows up with a piece of ip as part of the culture has rights to use it to their own ends.

Don’t comment what a line is doing. Instead, write your code, especially names for variables, constants, classes, functions, methods and so on, so that they produce talking code that needs no comments.

Over and over and over again in my experience this just doesn't work. Readable code does not substitute for comments about what the code should be doing.

Okay, but now what about the people that have this part,

none of that means anything when you’ve hit the third month and you’re miserable and anxious and know this is what you’re in for now, everyday

But not this part,

** I’m** at a point in life where I earn a good living

(Emphasis mine)

Unless I misread the tone of your message, its frankly useless and more than little insulting. No shit some jobs suck, but if its the difference between homelessness, or going hungry that's not a choice at all.

While it might not take a long time to search for something, its also not unreasonable to ask for the OPs reasoning/evidence. Outside of the blindingly obvious, if you make a claim it's on you to back it up. Even for the blindingly obvious sometimes its only clear to you. Otherwise, claims made without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

For me its mostly the time factor. A 45 min drive takes 2 to 3 hours by transit in my city, or longer one way. And thats if busses show up and make connections. I would love to take transit but can't make it work in a any that would mean I still get to sleep.

Aksually 5! = 120

Still not great though because it would still be blocking access to the stall, effectively blocking the stall anyways.

The bike parking there for example blocks a wheelchair lift if the vehicle doesnt want to back in.

Exactly, its not that I'm not interested in gaming anymore. It's that none of the games released recently are worth playing.

In an endless sea of call of dooty clones and other derivative drek finding something decent has become hard. I want new ip damn it, not yet another remake or sequel.
