Here in Boston we have an awesome public sailing club on the Charles River that has a bunch of Mercury centerboards and and keelboats. $400 for unlimited access and classes, plus a free summer program for kids from low income households. It's amazing
We had a family issue that delayed the plans (grandma needed care) but I think next year is the year we quit our jobs and start searching for a boat that can take us around the world. Hope you can keep us posted on the progress of getting yours in the water!
All my moderation experience is on Reddit but if you ever need a hand here, I'm more than willing to throw time at it. I'm chronically online since my boat is on thenhard this season 😭
YouTube is the only thing I don't mind paying a subscription for. I consume an unreasonable amount of media on YouTube. They host something like 4.5 petabytes of new videos every day. For me, the value I get from there is easily worth the price of premium. I couldn't say that for any other streaming service.
