There is a setting to stop auto play. Personally, I have the same issue, and gifs/videos auto play muted & I prefer it that way. HOWEVER, a muted auto playing gif/video shouldn’t be stopping our music.

This is an amazing app, and such a better experience and UI than I was seeing in other Lemmy apps. I’m curious if you knew that opening the app kills playing audio (music or podcasts)? Autoplayed videos & GIFs are muted by default already, so I’m confused why my already playing audio is stopped on app load? Edit: I should mention that this does not occur if the view setting is “compact”. I do t generally use that setting, but I wanted you to know.
