Art is of Shenhe by mikarusuya/sanhualishuwu for anyone else looking for more.

Mod Note: CreamyBiscuit is a self-identified AI-assisted artist which appears to use composites of AI-generated images with hand-drawn art. I'll check w/ the mod team to clarify whether Rule 4 applies here. If you've got thoughts, leave comments below or PM me, thanks.

I'm all for team kitty for the titty. 🍈

However, I feel the cat should be tied to the pussy instead of the dog, but that's probably just me, haha

My preference is to name the character and artist directly somewhere, usually in the title. It also works for searching when put in the description too. As long as you actually name the character/artist somewhere, it should work. Thanks for posting and asking!

If I had the time and energy to do it, I'd probably build a sauce bot to look it up and write it out automatically, but I'm lazy.

No kidding, that render is on-point. I legit thought this was an actual recording before I expanded the thumbnail. Thanks for sharing.

I picked up Kaiju Princess during the Steam Winter Sale and was surprised at how well they dressed up a simple cohabitation/management simulation. There's nothing super notable about the gameplay, but the interactive sex scene + CG-based scenes were reasonably well-illustrated.

My only complaint is that I thought the scenes were superhard to unlock because I only got a handful of scenes from start to beating the main story. Turns out that some scenes auto-play on unlock (like the relationship rank up scenes) while others are simply unlocked and need to be selected from the Scenes menu. That was definitely different from what I'm used to.

Peeping Dorm Manager was also really good, but also light on content, though what's there is gold. They did a good job of streamlining what is usual a tedious process of tracking NPC schedules by giving you an automatic "quest log" that tracks new pieces of information as you discover them. It's a bit of a grind to get resources at the start, but it's super easy once you get items that makes it more efficient to grind.

The artist is WaterRing, iirc. Good stuff! More cute than lewd for my tastes, but always nice to see.

I can think of a few favorites lewd games that do #1 or #3, but #2 kinda blurs together with #3 anyway for me.

What's more of a distinguishing factor is how integrated it is in the main gameplay or story. Games like SUBVERSE were really a disappointment to me since the majority of the sex scenes were in exchange for "friendship points" that you earned from grinding battles.

I usually prefer games with frequently weave sex into it, like having sex frequently to seduce guards or even incorporating it into combat itself as a part of the challenge.

It's mostly me posting in !paizuri@lemmynsfw.com, with votes on the posts being either on the cusp of or just barely into double digits for a 400-ish subscriber community. The rough part is that while the number of subscribers continues to grow, the number of people posting and commenting has not. I exchange at most 1 comment or so from time to time with 1 other user.

The slow but steady subscriber count growth keeps me from giving up and stopping, but I wonder when I'll start to see engagement from more than just me. I'm thinking of trying to encourage more low-effort engagement, like [DISC] posts where people can comment with links to doujinshi with related content, but haven't committed to it yet.

Anecdotally, growing and maintaining a hentai-oriented community feels pretty challenging. The instance as a whole is generally IRL-oriented, looking at Local+Active (which isn't a bad thing, esp. w/ the OC posters!). Other hentai posters have either left in search of or been banned for posting content they'd ordinarily post elsewhere. While the reasons are understandable, I think it creates some barriers to visibility and posting in hentai communities.

EDIT: The UX around GIF/Video posting also seems to suck enough for me to not post any to avoid people just seeing still frames instead of an animation, but that's seemingly more of a Lemmy problem than anything to do w/ this specific instance.

Thank you~ I've updated my sidebar to refer to the correct rule number when reminding users to not post any instance-wide banned materials like underage or non-con content etc. etc.

Looking forward to the docs page getting built out progressively to help navigate some of the nuances around some of the more "gray" rules that are harder to adjudicate on. It's a lot of work, and I'd imagine no user will read it right off the bat, but it'll be helpful to refer them to when making those judgement calls and referring users to when they (hopefully) accidentally post banned content. The thought and depth of the work is very appreciated.

It'll be sad to see you go, but perfectly understandable considering everything that's happened. Just opening the instance alone and governing it for as long as you have is already an amazing amount of effort, so I hope you won't lose sight of that in spite of all the challenges.

Definitely hope you take some time to take care of yourself as you step away from here. Best of luck with finding someone to take over.
