I feel like this sometimes when I can't extricate myself from a situation. It’s sort of like pushing people away. Maybe your coworkers feel the same way? It’s not cool. Everyone has their limits, but you shouldn’t have to deal with that at work. Do they ever seem to regret it? If they don’t apologize or try to prevent the outbursts, maybe you should bring it up to management?

If you only pay attention to the taskbar, sure I guess
Public restrooms are essential. Just because one isn’t available doesn’t mean people won’t go whenever or wherever they need to. I’ve seen at least five people defecate on the walls at a bus stop, and every corner reeks of urine.
Providing free train or bus tickets for unhoused individuals would help keep them warm and could prevent some from dying. I’ve never seen any of them cause problems; they simply ride the trains all day. In contrast, the only people I’ve seen regularly cause issues are usually those who appear to be well-off.
You have great taste in music
I always thought Mint looked a bit ugly, but maybe it could be improved with some customization. It sounds like you might prefer something with KDE instead of Gnome. Both Pop!_OS and Mint are based on Ubuntu, so your experience might not differ significantly between the two. As another poster mentioned, Fedora could be a better option.
I haven't used this yet, but it appears to be based on i3. Maybe you can use an i3 guide?
I usually post in the more active one, if not both of them
