It’s a duo. He plays the guitar, but live it looks like he does one or the other and has a recording

That is the most obtuse way I’ve seen yet to say that the “global conveyor” of warm/cold water in the Atlantic, that moderates the weather and keeps the UK from being frozen solid, will likely collapse in the next 75 years. It’s an existential threat.

We had one. 1.2m Americans dead. And they reelected him.

He doesn’t believe in germs. What do you expect.

I love these guys. Found them because they were going to be an opening act for a band I wanted to see (Wintersun or Something like that) but had visa troubles.

File under: Electronica, prog-metal, and glitch.

The crazy part is that originally he had written the music specifically for a drum machine, something that no human could possibly be able to do… And then got a demo take from a guy who wanted to be his drummer, nailing all the parts. They are fantastic together.

Engage Brute Force attack…

Okay, so I see a lot of Future Pop and metal. Have you tried “Brute Force” by The Algorithm? I don’t remember if you posted it.

Depending on where you live in the American southwest, that’s the norm. Shingles are weird.

Have you been? ALL they serve are crackers.

I’m wondering if this is going to help or hurt similar music communities like ObscureMusic that already skews pretty heavily Bandcamp.

Found these guys recently. Mostly in the crescendocore mold, but thoroughly enjoyable.

Legos (Polytropics) is the nearest band I can think of , but there’s Battles and ASIWYFA in there too.

Some fantastic retro-prog. Unsure where Ken Golden found these Norwegians, but holy cow it’s great!

If you don’t know what it means, you’re probably going to need to look it up.

It’s not quite psych, it’s not quite post-rock, but it’s an interesting mix.

Just saw them the other night. Incredible live.

Came across this band while reading an old ( pre-home alone) interview with Totoro, And they mentioned that their bassist plays in it. Imagine my surprise when it sounds similar to Totorro.

Missed this album (and its counterpart, TimeSilentRadio 1, which has 2 long tracks) coming out this spring. I’ve been a huge fan of them since the early 90s - Suffocating The Bloom and As The World were both incredible albums, and it’s always good to see a new album from them.

File under “modern melodic prog”.

Doom/sludge with elements of shoegaze. Ethereal vocals. Doom’s not my thing but the electronics and the fact that it’s not harsh make it interesting to me.

One of the last Cynic albums, from 2014. Combination of ethereal and metal, more pronounced here than in previous albums

Little bit of math, little bit of prog, mostly instrumental, some piano, pretty.
