Meanwhile, Trump is out talking about how magnets don’t work in water, confusing Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi, and bragging about passing a dementia test where he picks out the correct animal

Not to mention the official reddit app is janky as hell. So many smooth scrolling 3rd party apps for lemmy.

I feel sad for those stuck there. Those who graduate from college there will have less work options. Non-Maga states will be hesitant to hire them because of their lack of actual knowledge due to indoctrination.

Here's my one and only reply, who the fuck cares if you get downvotes. This isn't reddit and you shouldn't base your whole life on Internet points. If you don't like the progressive viewpoints that most places like this attract to open minded and free thinkers, then either block those communities or find someplace that's a better fit for you. I find people with similar viewpoints, but newsflash, the world outside MAGA world isn't a right wing mob. The majority of the world are more "leftist".

You need to find some new communities. My subscribe feed is loaded up every time I open the app. I have zero reason to go reddit.

I can't be the only one who is loving all the info and app sharing in the fediverse to get big tech's grips off of us. I love all the great recommendations for FOSS and privacy products. .

I was raised in a pretty conservative religion that listened to right-wing radio and news. However, I recently deconstructed religion entirely and can see it for the sham it is now. Once I did that my political ideology completely changed to the opposite. I'm now pretty progressive and happier than I've ever been.

I may the odd one out here, but I follow way more communities on lemmy than I did on reddit after 6 years on it.

Just because you are book smart doesn't mean you are incapable of participating in a cult like MAGA.

It's apples to oranges. They served two totally different roles. If you've seen Picard you understand she played a much move pivotal role in time and events than Quark. He was a great character, but didn't hold the power to change life altering events like Guinan. Personally, I like Quark's character better though.

Same thing goes for upvoting on some Lemmy apps. There are times I up vote something and scroll down. When I scroll back up my upvote is removed.
