The problem with this is entropy. Heat dissipated to the environment is highly entropic (more disorganized, less useful heat/energy), and to effectively extract it, you'd need to reduce the entropy, which requires more energy that you would get from the heat you recovered.

My first day visiting Albuquerque, I was in pizza parlor picking up an order, and the news was on a TV nearby. They were covering the arrest of this cracked out looking couple. The lady behind the counter then explained to me that it was a big local story because those two had tortured and murdered their daughter. Its also the cartheftt capital.

I haven't been back.

Do you think Taco Bell is representative of actual Mexican food? Blaming Taco Bell isn't racist, its blaming shit tier food

Two factors explain this discrepancy – one, misclassified shootings; and two, overlooked incidents. Regarding the former, the CPRC determined that the FBI reports had misclassified five shootings: In two incidents, the Bureau notes in its detailed write-up that citizens possessing valid firearms permits confronted the shooters and caused them to flee the scene. However, the FBI did not list these cases as being stopped by armed citizens because police later apprehended the attackers. In two other incidents, the FBI misidentified armed civilians as armed security personnel. Finally, the FBI failed to mention citizen engagement in one incident.

Never let your government disarm you. They dont have your interests at heart.

Trust me that's not the reason

From what I've seen of hexbear users in the wild, we wouldn't lose much by defederating. Their shitposting and general antagonism to anyone right of Stalin adds nothing to instances beyond their own

I lived there and made $90k a year. Lived like 50 minutes from work, still paid $2.5k per month for a 500sqft studio and qualified as low income for the area. If people making that much are considered low income, something has failed.

Those 100 corporations make materials that everyone else uses (mostly O&G) and the consumption and use of those materials (by we the consumers) is responsible for 71% of GHG emissions. It's not just 100 companies burning coal for funsies

Be careful, you're wandering awfully close to eco-facist talking points

Being able to run video games or other hardware intensive process would either require pricey hardware or they'd be streamed from a cloud service (which comes with a whole other bundle of issues to consider) as that computational power has to come from something physical somewhere. Offloading your OS to the cloud wouldn't affect that. PCs can already be accessed by phone if you have the right set up (dedicated IP hosting and a VPN) As for saving data in case of emergencies, we already have cloud based storage solutions that wouldn't be impacted by cloud based OS.

There is 0 reason to use a cloud based OS other than making sure people are tied to your service for the life of their computer. This feels like a solution to a problem no one has.

Unless you personally arrange him a new home, he isn't going to find one. Old dogs are hard to adopt out, so you'll most likely end up putting him in a stressful shelter while he waits to be euthanized. If you absolutely cannot care for him, do him a favor and just euthanize him. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but you need to hear it

So if I don't have an internet connection, I can't even boot my computer?

Big "you'll own nothing and be happy" energy.

This is such an unapproachable take. Saying things like this really doesn't do anything to help, even if you believe it's true.
