I have been using Ironfox to replace Mull for a while, but for some specific cases I also use Fennec, but I alert, as well as Fennec, Ironfox is not coming with the Fingerprint Resistance enabled by default, although it has proposed as an alternative to Mull. So stay tuned and always activate this in the developer settings.

Yes, Starpage I use sometimes has also been removed among other search engine. I did not mention this in the post. It really must be a mistake.

🔄 Repost of the comment of our community partner @pipes@sh.itjust.works on this post ⬇️

"Defaults are extremely important, we can't babysit every app update in the devices of a tech illiterate person we help or simply suggested Firefox to"

Note: Standards are also important to show whether developers and organizations are actually privacy in their products and services. It is not a matter of having knowledge to modify your taste. But as it seems that it was simply a problem in updating Fennec, everything is ok. They must correct soon.

Seriously, man?! So much relevant question to be addressed and you will pay attention to it? hahahaha. But let's go! I do not speak English, so I use translator. If the translator has chosen "Always" and is not suitable, it is not my fault. I mentioned that "Always Used" to use Mullvad Leta since the beginning of its recent operating period and everyone knows. Explained? So let's go to what matters, privacy!

I have always used Mullvad Leta as my search engine, but after changing smartphone and download Fennec, I ended up leaving DuckDuckgo that comes standard for now. However, after the last Fennec update (140.0.0), I was surprised to have Google as a standard search engine. What do you think of this? Someone with this same experience?

Exactly. I tried to create an account years ago, but when I saw it, I never tried again and completely discarded.

Regarding the implementation of GrapheneOS's Google Play Services sandbox, I particularly like it and if it is to be considered something to popularize the use of open source OS (GrapheneOS), limiting Google's data collection (since the use of Google Play Services sandbox is completely opt-in), it also maintains compatibility and avoids many issues so as not to alienate the general public from enjoying the other benefits of using an open source OS, something that MicroG does not do, however, I use it and I think it is an incredible project, but take into account the perspective of popularizing open source by the general public without associating it with software issues.

That is why, when I refer to understanding the purpose of the CalyxOS project, I really understand, what I mean is that there is no prospect of changing and becoming a more hardened Custom ROM benefiting its users. A lot of things could be improved. There are resources for that.

NOTE: I know about the end of the Divested Project development, which is worthy of applause for the time of contribution to the community and of thanks without a doubt. I only used it as an example of a truly hardened Custom ROM and that should be the goal for those who say that their OS is suitable for journalists like the CalyxOS team.

AFAIK, Mailbox.org was once open source, but has not very recently become closed source. PrivacyGuides.org recommends it, as does Tresorit (encrypted cloud storage), for example, which is closed source and is one of the services I use. Providers that implement encryption, have been audited, have been on the market for years, and have a clean track record of security or privacy scandals, which there aren't many of these types of services these days. But I personally don't like them and try my best to avoid closed source softwares as well.

In conclusion, PrivacyGuides mostly recommends open source software but also recommends some that are not based on their features, reputation, security and maturity.

Tuta has already been through some cases linked to German court orders to decrypt emails received in the inbox of alleged criminals, just like any other company that is subject to the legislation of its respective country (I don't know the difference with Proton, which until now I only found out about the delivery of IPs, not the content of the emails themselves, based on Swiss court orders), but I don't believe it is a honeypot because Tuta has clarified the entire issue and still has credibility in the privacy community.

Mailbox.org is closed source unfortunately and I believe the Client is too

This has happened a few times, but it was always related to the use of VPNs because the app is not available in the country of the server, but now, even if I disable the VPN, change the spoofing model of the smartphone, open from a direct link from the Play store (in which the app page opens, however, with almost no information, such as version, permissions, size and so on, and the download doesn't start. Is in the attached image), uninstall and reinstall, it doesn't appear.

Suddenly, the aurora store of my work profile appeared the apps and the user profile specifically for banking apps, no.

I checked the settings of each one and they are exactly the same.

I really don't know what the problem is.

Nothing seems to work.

Can anyone help me?

The changelog page for version 2.13.7 for Android is not available. Does anyone know anything about it?

I'm not a technical person, but I found these connections, Dropbox and Bitly weird, since I don't use any of that.

Can anyone clarify if these are normal connections or is there something unusual?

I use xprivacylua to prevent whatsapp from having access to most of the possible software and hardware information to mitigate the fingerprint and now I'm also using the imagepipe to send any image through it.

However, the doubt came.

And the photos taken directly into the option within the application?

Can you still capture metadata?

Note: I use degoogle smartphone. And I do not speak English so excuse any fault.
