20 hours in without a hitch* and loving the game. Bazzite with a 4090.

Regarding your issue, Steam automatically installed the BattleEye runtime for me before it installed the game but I have seen reports on ProtonDB of some folk needing to install it themselves. Not sure how to do that, but maybe a game reinstall would force it.

* Well, first time I booted it up the game erroneously complained my Gen 5 NVMe was too slow. But that message hasn’t come back and it hasn’t stopped me or impacted performance.

Yes, flawlessly!

I’m running Bazzite on a 4090 (driver version 570), having hopped from PopOS. Pleased to say that DLSS and frame gen work perfectly. HDR support is spotty but some games do support it.

Big picture mostly works and is smooth, but you do get weird corruption on some menus (like the left pull out menu when you press the home button). This also happens on some of the pull down menus on the desktop view but thankfully it’s rare. My partner is running a 3080 and it’s worse for her, for some reason.

I’d say it’s 99% of the way there.

100% agree. This jumped right to the top for me, really enjoyed it and always recommend it to people.

I’m a simple man. I see PRIZM, I upvote.

I’ve been daily driving Endeavour OS for a few months now and it’s great. It’s Arch based so there is a learning curve but it’s worth getting over the hump.

I had to do the same thing. Email them with your invoice as proof of purchase. It took about a week but they did eventually get back to me.

It’s a Ubisoft Launcher code though. Haven’t tried running the launcher on Linux yet.

Doing the Dark Lord’s work.

Yep, same here. I think it’s the number of destructible trees. My frames usually hang out 90-110 but are pretty much pinned at about 55 on Gacrux.

Played it at launch on PC and finished it, think I spent about 30 or so hours. It is a very enjoyable game. It’s visually beautiful, traversal is fun and fluid, and the combat can be tricky but never hard enough to put me off. Always felt rewarding to get a good run of clean stealth kills. Story I can take or leave, but I don’t play that style of game for the story. I don’t believe you will miss anything having not seen the movies.

Got a bit samey towards the end as most of these open world style games do. I’ll be revisiting it for the DLC for sure.

If you enjoyed FarCry 3 or 4 (or just enjoy that “conquer the map by capturing the base” style gameplay) I say it is worth picking up. The only downside (on PC) is the Ubi launcher. Could really do with a steam release.
