- Postshave: Naissance 702 Witch Hazel
- Postshave: Pitralon Classic After Shave
- Postshave: Nivea After Shave Balm
Since it is the day of honeysuckle, I chose to try Rose de Pushkar. The owner of Le Père Lucien claims it is his favorite scent (the fact that his wife developed it might be not unrelated), and it is one of his best selling ones. It is very rose-dominant – expectedly – and I like it, even though I don't love it (yet). It is in the same line as Narcisse, so I expected the bases to be similar, but this one is much softer than Narcisse.
I heavily overloaded and could have shaved the cat with the remaining soap. It was always my dream to upgrade her to a sphinx cat, but my wife for some reason doesn't like them, even though they are clearly and objectively the best breed of cats.
This TI has the exact same shape as the new one. But it is much lighter, and also feels different. I don't know whether this is only due to the scales, or whether the steel is different, or whether the edge is different – in any case, both are good!
Have a good night!
I know that it exists, never tried it 🤷
Here’s one of my assistants criticizing the desk situation.
You have several of those? My cat obviously is assisted by me, and not the other way round.
It is mirror polished
Everyone likes a hot blonde 🤣
Not sure whether this is an English word 😎
Duodi 22 Prairial an 233 de la Révolution, jour de Camomille
- Brush: Chisel & Hound Blaireau de la République with 24mm G5 Synthetic
- Razor: Thiers Issard Le Grelot
- Lather: Zingari Man The Watchman
- Postshave: Naissance 702 Witch Hazel
- Postshave: Zingari Man Bon Monsieur Recovery Splash
- Postshave: Nivea After Shave Balm
This is the first shave with this new (to me) Le Grelot razor, which I got for a reasonable price off the bay. Very nice blond horn scales, and the same 7/8th razor shape as my Coq et Renard. Since @djundjila@sub.wetshaving.social will ask, here are the pics:
The scales look really nice, and the guillochage is also very good. But it is time for GRUYE now. The shave itself went very well – always a pleasure to use a good Thiers Issard.
Have a good evening!
Take this closing parenthesis: )
Primidi 21 Prairial an 233 de la Révolution, jour de Barbeau
- Brush: Muninn Woodworks Gloire de France with Zenith 505BC Boar 🐗
- Razor: Koraat 14.2 Straight Razor
- Lather: Stirling Electric Sheep 🐑
- Postshave: Naissance 702 Witch Hazel
- Postshave: Stirling Electric Sheep Aftershave
- Postshave: Nivea After Shave Balm
There are sophisticated scents, and then, there are straightforward ones. Electric Sheep is straightforward, but that doesn't mean that it wouldn't be good.
The Zenith boar has been losing 5+ bristles the last 2 times I used it. I hope it is not entering terminal knot failure mode.
Have a good evening!
Quintidi 25 Prairial an 233 de la Révolution, jour de Tanche
It was 34 degrees today in Paris, and this is starting to get into the area where life becomes uncomfortable. But we will get some storms tonight (which should hit soon), and it should get fresher. Anyways, I refreshed myself with Electric Sheep, which for me is a very nice summer soap.
Have a good night!
