More than one thing can be wrong at the same time. The constant whataboutism is exhausting...

This is pretty crazy if true. I wonder if it has any connections to the alleged "ghost" CCP police stations that were reported around in Canada. I believe it was being claimed the stations were being used to bully Chinese people that were in Canada.

That's pretty cool! The French actually had a decimal time system after the revolution, but they eventually abandoned it.

I think the infinite growth part is a big part of the problem: "Growth for the sake of growth is the ideology of the cancer cell"

Primer or really any good time travel movie. For Primer, you pretty much have to re-watch out to make sense of what is going on. Highly recommended though!

There's a French idiom for this: "Avoir l'Esprit d'Escalier" which means "The Wisdom of the Staircase". Basically, you often think of the best thing to say after you left and are walking down the staircase.

I mean I think it's pretty telling that there are lots of plant based versions of meat based food, but not the other way around. Nobody is trying to replicate the taste of salads in meat form

If I recall correctly it was a rogue developer that decided to make a fully nude model and put Elliot's head on it. So it isn't a model of his body at the time, but still obviously a pretty big breach of trust.

Also this article was written in 2015 well before Elliot's transition so that why it uses the older pronouns. I'm definitely a big believer in using a person's proferred pronouns but I don't it is "unfortunate" that older things have their old pronouns in them.
