As someone who posts OC, I prefer not having downvotes. We post pictures of ourselves and were getting downvoted due to our not being conventionally attractive (presumably). It was very disheartening.

It makes me more likely to post here with their not being downvotes.

You shouldn't have to put your own money into this, unless you really want to. I would be willing to make a donation if you can find a payment processor.

As someone who posts OC, disabling down votes has been a big improvement.

I post pictures of my wife and I. We do this for our own pleasure and to help contribute to the community.

We are not conventionally attractive, but on Reddit we were able to find many places where we could feel welcomed, valued, and hot!

When I started posting here our content was heavily downvoted, even in communities appropriate for it. This was very discouraging. It made us feel bad about doing something we should be doing for fun.

Removing downloads has been a positive change for us. It's made us feel better about posting here.

I would prefer to keep no down votes for the time being. The biggest problem facing this platform right now is a lack of people posting OC. We need more contributors.

To focus should be on making things as comfortable and positive as possible for the people who choose to contribute.

It's only been a short amount of time since the change was implemented. Is there any data to show if there has been a change in the amount of OC posted?

Its just not fun to post your oc content and immediatly get 5 downvotes cause some lurkers cant be bothered to customize their feed. Its driving active and contributing users away and is harming this relatively small community atm.

Agreed. My wife and I enjoy posting pix of ourselves. We do it because it's fun for us. The amount of downvotes we were getting was pretty discouraging.

People downvote based on body type and gender. Unless more people feel comfortable posting here, it won't continue to grow.

Not a mod, but a new user from Reddit. I'm the husband of an MF bbw couple. We've enjoyed posting ourselves on reddit over the years.

There's a bbw community here I've started posting in. I tried a few other places, but ended up getting more downvotes than upvotes. That doesn't feel good when we're just here to show off.

I'm planning on sticking around for a while, hopefully some more plus-size lovers come around here soon 😘
