I mean this is standard behavior every election... outgoing guy says "So and so will be a great leader. Democracy has spoken, etc." I know in this case they're not the outgoing person but standard politics 101.
I don't think so really. I picked my national instance and here I am posting to a kbin server.
Because none are independent. Reselling someone else's network isn't really a great position to be in.
Be the change you want to see in the world! I've been posting to some less busy subs as much as I can hoping to kickstart them. However if you want more NationalPost, Star, GlobeandMail then hit up those front pages and post the stories you think are interesting to Lemmy!

Each instance can elect to federate or not federate with others.
I agree this is a complaint that I hope will soon go away. It seems the algorithm also takes into account comments as "activity" so the front page posts get the most comments and thus stay "active" for too long.
Not really sure how I feel about this... on the upper end it makes sense. We let people move out and go to University at 17.
That being said 13 seems a bit low in my head... I'd prefer this being like 15+.. but I guess at the end of the day it's up to each parent.
