A book doesn't actively shine light at you. That being said, all colours are beautiful. Don't shame peoples taste or use-cases. Default background color should simply change with the dark mode setting.

Matrix was sure a nice idea but still doesn't work remotely as food as it needs to, to replace email for that. I take an unencrypted insecure email over matrix any day.

They had multiple bases that they all gave up years ago. With the Arctic opening up due to climate change greenland is extremely valueable again so they want their influence back. I think they even have one last base in the north.

It's also no problem for extrusions which is one of the main uses of aluminium. Haven't heard about any impurities creating issues.

Aluminium is one is the easiest to recycle materials. I don't see the problem with buying it recycled. It is pretty much as good as new.

Problem is, that you kind of have to have a phone nowadays to take part in society.

Sony and Fairphone install standard Google services that definitely track you without asking.

Yeah, there are niche scenarios where tracking is minimal. But for the majority of phones you can buy, you will be tracked by someone.

There's not a single phone out there that doesn't track you. You can only choose who is tracking you.
