I have previously used spacebar to scroll pages of posts and ESC to exit a post view and these generally worked on my Mac, but it seems to be disabled with the latest update.

Can this functionality be restored?

For us, we have to watch the unskippable ad during Star Trek Picard, then it jumps back 10 minutes in the episode so we need to fast forward to get back to our place. This has been going on for several episodes.

I am running Vger.app on Safari, current version on a MacBook Air. I keep seeing the badge for an update, but when I run the update, the badge is still there. It is version 1.25.0.

I now see the badge whenever I browse on Voyager.

---In 2013, the median age of burners was 32, and in 2022, it was 37.

My take away was that it seems like it is the same people going every year: they are getting older and richer, because that is what happens over time.

I have noticed this too. I was very excited to have the “mark read on scroll” option added with the update yesterday.

However, as I am scrolling and marking posts read I have noticed that a lot of the posts that were marked read keep reappearing as unread. Not other instances, but the same posts.

Hard to capture this in the wild, but I will try to get images of this happening.

This is the first time I’ve noticed this, but it seems to be happening regularly with the latest 0.5 Test flight:

  1. I open a post and see comments
  2. I upvote the post, number of upvotes goes up
  3. I swipe right to go back to my feed and see the post does not reflect my upvote.

Thanks for putting together this app!

I set it up, but I don't see any option to log into my account and it just goes to a general Lemmy.world account. The screenshots show a list of subscribed communities, but I don't see any log in options. Is this something coming later?

Latest test Memmy version on iPhone 12 Pro. It is almost impossible to pinch and zoom. Seems like a bug. Will check on where the image was hosted.

View the site in Reader view (click on the “AA” in the lower left of the screen). It removes everything but the text of the site, including ads, blockers, almost all membership requests, etc.

Edit: Reader view is not available for that site, so my suggestion won’t help in this case.

I hid read posts and found out that that includes my own posts. I kept wondering why my posts disappeared.

I have set up 2FA many times on other sites, but I can’t get it to work on Lemm.ee.

What usually happens: when I set up 2FA I get either a QR code to scan into an authenticator app or a get a key code that I can manually enter into the authenticator app.

What happens with Lemm.ee: it gives me a link that opens my password preferences. Options include my password app and other password vaults. My authenticator app (2FAS Auth) is not an option. I have tried this on a Mac and iPhone, and have no luck getting it to allow me to add a 2FA in the authenticator.

Link starts with “otpauth://”. I tried adding the part of the link with a long code between “secret=” and “&algorithm” to the authenticator, but that did not seem give me the right 2FA and I couldn’t log in.

Does anyone have suggestions to on how to get from the otpauth link to an entry into an authenticator?

I have used many different 2FA, but the one for Lemm.ee doesn't work like any others I have used and I can't get it to work.

Usually, it gives you a QR code to scan into an authenticator or a code you can enter manually. However, the 2FA here is not like that. It gives a link that opens up passwords in my settings on my Mac or my iPhone. My authenticator is not included in the list.

Does anyone have ideas on how to get the 2FA to open in an authenticator app instead my password settings?

I get the impression that the preference for dark mode tends to be more common in Millennial/Gen-Z men.

As an older Gen-X, I cannot stand having dark mode on during the day or light mode at night. I use auto whenever it is available. I don’t know why!

My daughter and her female friends do not have dark mode during the day. My younger coworkers often have dark mode at work, but only the male ones.

I’m curious about those who use dark mode all the time: were you born after 1980 and male?

I would also like to see options to hide all posts above and to view hidden posts. I was used to those in Apollo.

Was pretty painful to recreate my account on Lemm.ee, but I think that I have it mostly recreated. I am wondering if there is some way to automatically download a full list of subscriptions so that I can either sync up a backup account or at least have a file that I can import with a new account in case Lemm.ee blows up.

Fortunately, I had manually exported the list to sync it up with my Kbin accounts about a week and half ago, so I did have some of them tracked. Exporting into Excel was not easy!
