Thank you! I will take a good look at that a little later when I'm in front of my laptop. Kind of a useless reply but I don't want to come across like I'm ignoring this either while I still go on shitposting elsewhere.

quality not meeting the developer’s standards
Interesting statement in times where the only standard that usually seems to matter is how much value the shareholders can get out of a thing.
Oh yeah on that I agree. I was merely trying to provide context for South Africa's love for Russia but honestly, the Soviet Union and Russia aren't even the same country. But people on the ground who aren't that well educated or versed in history don't see it that way.
Interesting to hear about Sweden. I can't say they or any of the Scandinavian countries have ever come up in history class or even really featured much in geopolitical shenanigans involving South Africa for as long as I've been alive and able to form memories.
May I ask where you get the stats from? Not out of doubt, I'm just interested. And trying to search "ANC apartheid era funding" wasn't very helpful.
The way I see it, they're literally trying to affirm their genders. They're insecure about if they're really men or not, so they have to go by 'alpha male' so that everyone knows that they're not just regular males but the full roast brand. Men+. It's their version of a pronouns pin.
They also occasionally partake in other forms of gender affirming care like shaving their eyelashes because eyelashes are for girls. And getting together and going "ew girls" over Captain Marvel and other good looking women in tight fitting superhero spandex, in between praising how swole Joe Rogan is looking. These are things that make them feel like manly men.
Interesting question. Not something that was taught in school or that I've really seen discussed. Going by the Wikipedia article on the ANC, it would appear that the answer is the Soviet Union, as I would've expected:
The animosity of Western regimes was partly explained by the Cold War context, and by the considerable amount of support – both financial and technical – that the ANC received from the Soviet Union.
I can't see it being the USA considering that both Mandela and the ANC were on US terror watch lists from what looks like the 1960s up until 2008.
If these guys are removing events from the calendar because the job of setting some fucking variable and assigning a date to it is too difficult for them to achieve, I wonder what that says about the quality of Android or any of their other products. It's no wonder they act like adding a new shortcut to a button or slightly changing the style of the clock is some monumental development that deserves its own announcement.
It also accused South Africa of supporting “bad actors” in the world, including the militant Palestinian group Hamas, Russia and Iran.
In case anyone wonders why South Africa tends to side with countries like Russia, it's because for all of the finger wagging and strongly worded letters that the Western world did about apartheid, nations like the Soviet Union were the only ones that actually bothered supporting the resistance in any meaningful way.
The Western world was too busy looking for communist boogeymen everywhere, so while they condemned apartheid on the surface and in the news, they actually supported the apartheid government in their fight against the 'evil commies' via proxy with Israel. Israel and the old SA government were BFFs and a lot of apartheid South Africa's military equipment was Israeli and American.
Haha I use adblock (uBlock Origin to be specific) in Firefox but I was talking about the app in particular. I actually have a hosts level ad blocker installed too but it's disabled a lot of the time because every now and then it breaks something and I'm too lazy to toggle and reboot any time that happens.
Honestly though, I didn't mind Reddit ads that much. I've spent the last few years questioning gender and shit and honestly, watching targeted advertising try to figure me out on various platforms has been oddly fun and affirming in a lot of cases that I'm on the right track, in the right place and asking the right questions.
Not that I'm defending it, no ads is of course better but I've seen much worse and more obnoxious styles of advertising than the way Reddit handled it. For all their faults, if they had to go down the advertising route, at least they managed to keep it somewhat more classy than almost everyone else.
I would definitely be happy to see more of her. Maybe it could relate to the letter that she received from Selina at the end.
I remember the cheat but not the exact game lol. Definitely Sega Mega Drive though.
ABRACADABRA (R for d-pad right, D for d-pad down).
Going by a Google search it could've been Vectorman or Ecco 2. Or both because I played both a lot back then.
The guy clearly got hit in the head while he was in Nipton because if you leave him alone, he leaves the road and just runs out into the wasteland, getting himself killed by radscorpions.
It's been a minute since I last played, so maybe there is something like that by now but I've felt for a long time that this game needs an NPC overhaul along the lines of Immersive NPCs for Skyrim. Just for better schedules and shit.
I'm thinking of that lady that you save from geckos right at the start, who just spends the rest of the game standing around in Trudy's house. Or Malcolm, who appears out of nowhere, then vanishes into thin air after getting to the Mojave Outpost. Same with those star bottle cap people near Nipton. Not sure how much this old engine allows though.
Ah, personally life has taught me to be kinda weary of spirit shine people that treat any negativity as something to shun and look away from. They can be nasty and selfish in other ways that are worse than someone just saying what they really feel. Not allowing a friend to unload once in a while because you don't want your personal good vibes to be affected is pretty selfish and a negative act itself.
I'm probably reading into things too much and I don't want to come across like a Redditor going "lawyer up, hit the gym, delete Facebook" but the fact that you even feel like you need to ask permission to speak about your troubles is kind of a red flag to me. Walking on eggshells and watching your words is what you do with strangers or in the office, friend(s) are supposed to be people who you can let your guard down around. I put the 's' in brackets because really not everyone needs to be a close friend and sometimes one person is all you need.
Sorry for the paragraphs but I feel like I've been there before. I know from myself that dealing with people who are in the valley of depression isn't always easy but maybe that's how you can tell who your friends really are. Find yourself someone that will let you actually get the bad feelings off your chest so that you can maybe feel a little better and be able to genuinely enjoy lighter moments without feeling like you need to fake it.
