I’m really over this underserved hate for TikTok. So much of my political shift to the left is from the firsthand accounts of the rest of the world, academics, activists, and scholars that are active on TikTok. They tried to ban it because of how effective TikTok was for showing firsthand accounts of the Palestinian genocide, just ask ~~Mitch McConnell~~ *Mitt Romney why they pushed so hard for the ban.

It’s a platform, so it can be a distraction, echo chamber, or propaganda, like all the rest of them are. But good lord does it get a bad rep on Reddit, and wouldn’t you know it from here too.
