Pop’s Coffee shop is part of the Triumph shop in Roswell, GA just north of Atlanta in the US. It’s pretty cool.

Motorcycle film festival (vahna.us.launchpad6.com)

Some interesting moto films for this upcoming film fest in the US. The films in this link were intended for public vote, but it seems the voting deadline has passed. I got this link from an email from Triumph

I picked up a book on the visual history of cars and page one starts off by describing how old man Daimler installed his engine on a bike to demonstrate his internal combustion engine.

The YouTube algorithm served this up for me yesterday and I’m thinking I could really use something like this here in the US. Any of you all riders out in the UK ever heard of mhmotorbike or participated? Seems like lately my big Zed is the only thing keeping me from totally losing it.

Here’s their website, looks like a fairly new organization in the UK

Here are definitions from Merriam-Webster online dictionary, but what is your take?

Exploitation (noun): an act or instance of exploiting Exploit (verb): 1.) to make productive use of; 2.) to make use of meanly or unfairly for one's own advantage

Monetization (verb): 1.) to coin into money; 2.) to purchase (public or private debt) and thereby free for other uses moneys that would have been devoted to debt service; 3.) to utilize (something of value) as a source of profit

  • Edit - revised title to “Is there a difference…” from “What is the difference…”

That’s a pretty good hypothesis 🤔

Well when you put it that way, just about everything can be linked to dying stars 🤓

Thanks for sharing the link!

Cool! I suspected there had to be a practical reason. Thanks for sharing the link!

The 65 mile ride home was great. It’s a major upgrade from my little SG250 cafe racer. I posted this pic of it couple weeks ago https://yall.theatl.social/post/2081

Yea totally. I watched him struggle for 15mins before asking him why he didn’t jack it up. He said it he didn’t want to waste time on that and so I watched for another 10mins before forcing him to do it

The dangerous part is that small and minor mistakes can have huge consequences, they are not proportional. But there are many ways to mitigate the risk and I think it all starts with attention to detail and all the other good suggestions made in this thread.

I have a Helite air jacket that I bought after being in an accident last year that I’m fairly confident would have prevented the injuries that landed me in the hospital if I would have had it at the time. I’m now in process of upgrading to a bike with ABS brakes

The French tried doing decimal time using base 10 during the French Revolution. People have thought about it in the past and tried

I found it. June 27 is mentioned half way down the build notes for v0.0.1.53: https://lemmy.ml/post/1412658

I vaguely recall seeing an update last week that mentioned a stretch goal for the end of June or early July but I’m not able to find it at the moment
