Someone ran 'systemctl restart networking' while SSH'd into the probe.

Can’t collect data on users without starting their own thing.

So the half-cocked product release strategy doesn't work and its time to punish labor for the mistakes of executives.

Unfortunate that he is going to get away with being a piece of shit just because he has mental health issues, just like Kanye…

I have mental health issues, but if I were an asshole to everyone around me, I wouldn’t have anyone around me anymore…. Having a lot of money offsets any sort of obligation to be a decent human.

People that think he invented something. The same people that think Elon Musk is a genius who invented EVs.

Any of the camera doorbells or security systems that ship all the footage to their own cloud. It’s unsettling to have devices with cameras semi controlled by a third party like that.

Hey everyone, I am looking to change the domain name of my self hosted instance and had a question.

I used the Ansible installation instructions originally and am now curious if it would be as easy as editing the “hosts” file and the “config.hjson” file before running the playbook again?

Will this overwrite the necessary configurations and grab a new SSL while keeping the content of the instance intact?

My main concern is breaking federation.

Thanks for any insight.

I run my own instance so that i can take a little control over the drivel that scrolls past my eyes. Far right ideologies don't deserve a platform or an audience.

Is there a running list of bigot instances that I can block?

It kinda stinks that within the same post we see a call to leave Reddit but also a list of Reddit links…

Says a lot about the hold Reddit know they have on a large portion of the internet’s information.

I really want us to be able to move on from Reddit, but it’s gonna be very difficult and uncomfortable to make that adjustment.

That AMA was honestly hilarious... I don't know what i actually expected, but this was better. Not only did the CEO go after Christian in the comments, but he also admitted that reddit isn't profitable, lol. This may not seal the deal for reddit, but i wouldn;t be surprised if spez was out of there just based on this PR disaster.
