Although i like the numpad, the wasd + mouse position (which i use even in work a lot) hurts my arms because of my small build. So its either separate numpad or none at all

For now, companies are still losing money by running this. Take github copilot as an example, licenses are at 10 dollars a month (plus your data ofc), but microsoft spends an average of 40 per user by running the machines.

But... two more papers down the line, more optimized algorithms and cheaper hardware...

Not usually. It happens every year! And also, that's true only in the center and north. In the southeast and south it gets also way colder in winter. Not snow cold, but like 5°C or a bit less in some extreme occasions.
