@that_shaman@mstdn.social Amazing work!

If anything or anyone can save this expansion for me it's Peitha. Of course this would mean that she turns out to be the ultimate villain in the end, but we cannot stop trusting her nonetheless.

I'm trying to subscribe to this magazine from my account on lemmy.sdf.org, but the subscription stays in status pending and no posts/comments are synced.

Any idea what is going wrong or rather what I need to do to make this work?

Don't you get a Raptor mount at level 10 when you have bought any of the existing expansions, i. e. HoT, PoF or EoD?

Wow, this was weak.

Also, I thought Anet wouldn't use Twitter as the primary platform for publishing news/media anymore.

https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/topic/133439-visit-the-news-and-announcements-forum-for-official-updates-on-game-issues/#comment-1933605

We are not able to predict how future updates to Twitter's policies may impact our official account's availability, and it's important to us that all players have a reliable source of news about the game, your accounts, and our studio. We will continue to communicate on Twitter like we have previously, but we will make our news and announcements forum our first location for "breaking news" on issues that affect things like the live game service. The Guild Wars 2 forums are visible regardless of registration or login, and we will keep it that way.

So for "issues" we have to check the forums and for (SotO) news we still have to check Twitter and/or the official web site? What a mess.

And how many Rifts or Rift-like events is Anet going to (re-)implement?

I hate it when core mechanics are disabled to increase difficulty or rather when the challenge is us being inconsistent since we are ArenaNet.

[-] brogrum@lemmy.wtf 5 points 1 year ago

yep!

Usually does not take very long until an updated version is released.

@meldrik@lemmy.wtf It's all over now ...

https://github.com/libreddit/libreddit/issues/840

I'm happy to endorse a fellow Rust project, Lemmy! Lemmy is a federated, decentralized, free, and open source alternative to Reddit that has shot up in popularity since the Reddit API news.

https://codeberg.org/teddit/teddit/issues/411

Most instances I use are getting 429 errors today. Is there any plans for circumvention?

Lemmy is the New Reddit

As an alternative to Reddit and tedd.it, I invite you to try Lemmy, an alternative to Reddit built for the Fediverse. It's free, open source, and not controlled by a company or central entity. Many of those who left Reddit following the chaos have found their home there.

Not only is it 1920x1080. It's also so beautiful that you just have to vote for it, right? πŸ˜€

[-] brogrum@lemmy.wtf 5 points 1 year ago

@meldrik@lemmy.wtf Sorry for that, but I had to know. πŸ˜„

[-] brogrum@lemmy.wtf 11 points 1 year ago

.. and do their next AMA on lemmy.wtf instead of reddit. πŸ˜€

The current 0.18.1-rc.x which is running on lemmy.world was a huge performance improvemen, i. e. lemmy might actually be able to handle such things in the near future.

Most likely. The probably not for very much longer in my post is a link. πŸ™‚

But as long as it works you could swap out the r/guildwars2 link on the sidebar for one which uses libreddit, e. g.

- [r/guildwars2}(https://safereddit.com/r/guildwars2)

Also you could write the sidebar links to other communities in an instance agnostic way like

- [m/guildwars2](/c/guildwars2@kbin.social) (kbin)
- [c/mmorpg](/c/mmorpg@lemmy.ml)

which works on any instance which already knows the magazine/community.

I think lemmy-ui-0.18.0 has a feature which does this automatically:

This is the comment I saw on lemmy.ml which mentions this new 0.18.0 feature:

Sadly the same will not work for posts and comments since those are uniquely numbered per instance instead of having a global UUID:

Some instances (JSON) are still working, but probably not for very much longer, e. g.

This may help to get the GuildWars2 community here up and running.

I find pure condition builds too slow in Open World. Especially when you go to Core Tyria Zones where a Power Build pretty much one-shots everything and is off to the next target while a Condition Build is still ramping up its damage. Not to mention weapon racks and other environment targets which are still pretty much immune to condition damage in Core Tyria Zones.
