Ok, let's compile this stuff

C-x-

wait, it was in the C-c keymap. Let's cancel this keybinding by... um... pressing ESC repeatedly?

C-x ESC ESC: executes (repeat-complex-command)

How can one cancel the current key chain in Emacs? I also tried C-x C-g but i get a message C-x C-g is undefined which makes me think that it isn't reserved for this kind of purpose.

Haven't tried it, but you could use a smartphone + Corne Choc + trackpoint

It's wired. There are versions with Bluetooth but no trackpoint.

It fits in a external hard disk case

I have an Odroid HC2 with a 6TB HDD. I need another board whose only job is to keep a backup of the former. These are the requirements:

  • Low power: max 12V 2A
    • Optional: can be powered via Poe/Poe+ (Otherwise I'll use a splitter)
  • One sata3 port
  • Cheap (I'm from Italy, so it should be available in Europe)
  • Compact

What could I use?

In zero time: no one. Emacs gives you all the ingredients to make an IDE, but you can't bake a cake in zero time. It will take time (and be gradual, just like leavening).

Can't give you exhaustive reply right now but I suggest to try fit your editor to one language at a time: start with Emacs Lisp, then maybe Python then something else...

Make Emacs fit your needs NOW, or you'll get overwhelmed.
