LOL. A lot of flowery language there but not much substance. The Dems can't switch now. Trump can instantly snatch on to that and attack whoever replaces Biden as an inferior desperate backup. Trump will say you Democrats have no idea what they're doing and they can't even stand behind their incumbent. This isn't only about 2024 but also about the midterms. Who would vote for a party that backstabs their incumbent?

Good bot by not doing your job.

I just learned what had become of two franchises I loved, Rollercoaster tycoon and Simcity. It seems to me that they have been leeching off classic and successful IPs, filling them with microtransactions and making cheap idle games for profit.

Total money grab.

These are just horrible. Attempts at dry humor without being smart. I feel embarrassed for the writers.

Why is it the exact opposite of what Alex Kurtzman wants to do?

Can't wait for Lower Decks to parody this episode.

AFAIK, Peertube uses ActivityPub as well, but are Lemmy instances federated with them? I don't seem to see Peertube instances on my feed. It be cool to see Lemmy comments appear below Peertube videos.

Those might be the wrong words. I wanted to say that she analyzes Trek through the lens of the critical theory as applied to gender and inclusive feminism.

I have a few, my fav is Jessie Gender, who gives insightful reviews but doesnt shy away from criticism of Trek. I also like how she looks at things from a gender critical angle, which is something few peoppe think about. Sean Ferrick is another cool one, as are the guys from Trekyards who are more focussed on tech and ships. Who else should I look up on?

It's good to see Kirsten Beyer back in the writer's room. It could be her that this episode reminds me of Workforce from VOY where the away team forget about their identities and keep on working for the planet government.

I felt the pacing was a bit rushed at the end and the episode could have given more time to explore the Kalar man's memories and history so his arch is more earned.

Here is the answer from the actor himself. Andre Dae Kim was busy filming Vampire Academy in Spain and could not return due to scheduling conflicts.

Too many people are confusing the two. Whenever lemmy.ml or its devs do something stupid, people go "Lemmy is getting worse and worse," or "I'm leaving Lemmy," or worse, "I'm leaving for Beehaw."

If you're using Beehaw, then you're using Lemmy. Lemmy is the software these instances run on. If you don't like lemmy.ml, join another instances that have rules that match your philosophy. Some instance hosts authoritarian or fascist shit? Turn to another Lemmy instance. Lemmy.ml is not even the biggest instance. People who just joined and are unfamiliar with the platform will just think the entire Lemmyverse is run by autocratic admins if we don't get our terminology right.

SPOILER WARNING. Unless I missed some details from the episode 1 of SNW season 2, Kane reveals some details of her character that are not in episode 1 yet.

You have been warned.

Edit: missed a word
