Yeah, their response seems to basically boil down to ‘It’s doing great if you consider it’s ps5 exclusive’, which kinda misses the point. It’d probably have sold even better than 15 if it wasn’t. It’s just strange that they’d neuter their own potential for sales. I’d have bought it too, but I’m already losing interest, and there’s no sign of it coming to other platforms anytime soon.
Mr. Robot
Mad Men
The Star-spangled Banner (where the phrase “Land of the Free” comes from) was written in 1814, 51 years before slavery was abolished. The idea that America is or ever was the land of the free is a total joke.
It’s worth mentioning, while there are a lot of parallels to GTA, there are some important differences you should expect. For instance, there’s no ability to steal cars from others in this game. Rather you buy your own vehicles and drive those only. The game is more focused on the story and missions than the vehicle aspect.
Well, (and this isn't exactly an answer to your question), one thing that's interesting to consider is... if Spock killed Evil Kirk, he also killed Good Kirk. In other words he killed two people to save one (if you want to look at each of them as individuals in a sense equal to the original). Janeway "killed" one person to save two.
Have you watched Mr. Robot? That’s my favorite show and in the same vein of mind-bendy, twists & turns & cliffhangers. It can be a slow start since it takes almost the whole first season to reveal what kind of show it is, but well worth it.
Ok… but what about half life 3?
I’m working through Star Trek, watched TNG and DS9 and on Voyager now. I’ve always been aware of it but somehow never realized how good it is! Which is nice because now I feel like I discovered a treasure trove, there are so many shows and movies.
This looks like the game I wanted Stellaris to be. Really psyched! Also it's pretty cool you can play as the Cardassians.
My dream Star Trek game is basically this as an overworld game plus away missions with XCOM style combat...
They're both piracy communities on separate lemmy instances. One is on lemmy.dbzer0.com, one is on lemmy.ml. As both those instances are linked, the communities can interact with each other freely. Hope that helps.
I’m enjoying it for the most part. One recent choice forced a A or B choice where I really thought some compromise or alternative should’ve been an option, and kinda dulled my enthusiasm a bit. But I do find the settings and immersiveness engaging, and there’s a definite Trek feel to many of the plot points and concepts. I’m really looking forward to the new strategy game btw!
You’ll never believe how far this mother/daughter quarrel over a bagel goes!
