Could be wrong, but I'm guessing they more meant something along the lines of "recruit" instead of "hire"? Though technically payment for being hired doesn't have to be money either.

I tend to agree that the main link should show the same as our /sub (bug or not). It would also be nice to have the same functionality of the current home page just in case I want to browse outside my subs without changing settings. Maybe a /all or something? Unless something like this already exists, but I couldn't find it.
